BCSC's 183rd Regatta 2009 |
|
Our 183rd sailing regatta takes place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June 2009. The format is the same as last year with a series of two races on Saturday afternoon and one on Sunday morning; followed by the Hooper & Wollen Pursuit Race. Classes are all PY handicap dinghies classes with three starts; Asymmetric and Fast; Taser and Slow Handicap. The social programme forms part of Babbacombe Festival between Wednesday 17th and Sunday 28th June (see http://www.babbacombe.org/ for event schedule. We have a beer festival throughout the festival - with a "6 for 5" offer - and on Friday there will be a 5pm 1 hour walking treasure hunt from the Fore Street clubhouse followed by food on return (as ordered beforehand) and a Jazz evening performed by "Smooth Operators" (listen to them at http://www.thecadence.co.uk/audio_wm.html) On Saturday evening there is a buffet reception for the visiting sailors and on Sunday evening is prizegiving. |
